From October 15 to 16, 2025, ELIV (Electronics in Vehicles) took place at the World Conference Center Bonn – and we were right in the middle of it.
As usual, the event brought together leading experts from electronics development, software, testing, and system integration. For us, ELIV was not only a platform for exchange but also a clear benchmark for trends, competition, and market movements.
Top Topics: AI, SDV, Virtual ECUs, and AUTOSAR
Buzzwords like AI-driven development, Software Defined Vehicle (SDV), and virtual ECUs shaped many talks and discussions. Notably, there is a shift from full AUTOSAR to a mixed approach with OEM-specific rules.
SiL meets HiL – The integration progresses
Another focus was on the combination of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL). Many of the ideas presented were familiar to us, and some have already been internally evaluated or implemented. It is encouraging to see these approaches evolving further – especially as our colleagues are very active and engaged in these areas.
OffHighway as a Future Opportunity
Another exciting field is OffHighway applications, including use in agriculture, construction, or special-purpose vehicles. We are closely involved in this evolving segment and are positioning ourselves to play an active role in shaping its future.
Conclusion and Outlook
Two days full of technical depth, new contacts, and valuable impulses. We thank all visitors, discussion partners, and the entire ELIV team for the professional organization and are already looking forward to next year!
